Ethel Granger (1905-1982) was known for having the smallest waist ever, with 33 cm only. Her husband William Arnold Granger was responsible for Ethel's efforts in obtaining such deformation. He once wrote: “if she can outshine other members of her sex in some way, this is a victory worth any amount of suffering”. Adding to her extreme corsets Ethel was known also for her huge piercings, which conceived an overhall image that is extremely strong.
